Who Am I?

Santa Islam is a Senior Program Officer of WARBE (Welfare Association for the Rights of Bangladeshi Emigrants) Development Foundation. She is coordinating with the Parliamentarians Caucus on Migration and Development along with other concerning bodies. She is also working as a freelance writer and Legal Research Associate of Redleaf Publishing. She has pursued her MA (Master of Arts) from UMISARC (UNESCO Madanjeet Singh Institute for South Asia Regional Cooperation) in South Asian Studies at Pondicherry University, India as a SAF (South Asia Foundation) scholar. She has achieved her LL M (Master of Laws) and LL B (Bachelor of Laws) degrees from University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. She has been associated with different CSO’s (Civil Society Organizations) like Ain o Salish Kendra (ASK), Solidarity Centre Bangladesh (AFL-CIO), Bangladesh Legal Aid and Services Trust (BLAST) and Empowerment through Law of the Common People (ELCOP) and participated in different training programs and workshops in home and abroad.  Her interest areas include international advocacy, regional cooperation and women empowerment.
